Welcome to Communities in Motion 2040 2.0 – the regional long-range transportation plan for Ada and Canyon Counties, Idaho. The goal of this plan is to ensure that Ada and Canyon Counties remain a healthy and economically vibrant region that offers people choices in how and where they live, work, play, and travel.

 

This plan is an update to Communities in Motion 2040, adopted in 2014, and as such retains the same horizon year, growth forecast, and many other tenets of Communities in Motion 2040. Learn more about what has stayed the same and what has changed.

Transportation funding is tight.

There are not sufficient funds to meet all transportation needs, meaning COMPASS must make difficult decisions regarding what to fund. While many Treasure Valley transportation projects have funding commitments to be completed by 2040, many others are left unfunded.
